Corinth Home and Garden Tour
The second annual Corinth Home and Garden Tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24, 2010, along Fillmore Street in downtown Corinth, Mississippi. Two historic homes plus the Fillmore Street Chapel are on the tour, along with the garden of Oak Home (pictured), built in 1856. Road Trips Gardeners won’t want to miss the display from the Master Gardeners of Alcorn County, who’ll be selling plants and flowers. Admission to the homes is $10 but visitors may browse the garden, food and art tents at no charge. Proceeds benefit restoration of the Verandah-Curlee House, a National Historic Landmark built in 1857 for city of Corinth co-founder Hamilton Mask. There’s a video about the Greek Revival mansion here.
