Venice Garden & Home Tour
No, Road Trips Gardeners, not THAT Venice. We’re talking about the one in California this time, along the Pacific Ocean just west of Los Angeles and south of Santa Monica. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 1, 2010, visitors can peek into more than two dozen homes and gardens in Venice, Oakwood, Palms and Milwood neighborhoods.
The self-guided, walking Venice Garden & Home Tour starts at the Las Doradas Children’s Center, 804 Broadway, Venice. Neighborhood parking is available, as are shuttle buses. Biking is a suggested option. Rain-or-shine tickets are $60 if purchased in advance, $70 if purchased the day of the tour (children under 12 years of age admitted free). Ticket information is available by email or call 310:821-1857. It’s a fundraising event to benefit the Neighborhood Youth Association’s Las Doradas Children’s Center in Venice.
