The Mountain Flower Art Festival in downtown Dahlonega, Georgia, features both actual flowers and artwork featuring flowers. It’s scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 15 and 16, 2010.

There are a number of fine artists and crafters displaying their original handcrafed art, ranging from watercolors, painters, potters, silversmiths, photographers to weavers. There will also be various performing artists playing during the weekend on the square.

New for this year, will be the Georgia Temptations Wine Garden, a sampling of the best wines in Georgia.

The Garden Expo part of the festival in nearby Hancock Park is presented by the Master Gardeners of Lumpkin County. It features a plant sale, wildflower walk and wildflower display.
