Hey, Road Trips Gardeners! If you’re spending Memorial Day Weekend in LA, consider swinging by the Los Angeles Arboretum, 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California, on Sunday (May 30, 2010). The Giant Plant Sale takes place in the Gift Shop — and everything’s 30-50% off between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Purchase overstock from The Arboretum’s collections including: cactus, succulents, flowering shrubs and trees as well as plants from the nursery and greenhouses. Yeah, you’ve got to pay the $8 admission to get into the Arboretum, so you might as well spend some time wandering through the grounds (and, yes, the tram is running).
