Well, Road Trips Gardeners, if you’re also an antiques collector you might consider a ramble over to Omaha at the end of next month. The Antique and Garden Show takes place in Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft Street, Omaha, Nebraska, September 24-26, 2010.

Note that top dealers from around the country bring their finest pieces to sell in elegant display room vignettes. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

There’ll be 30 booths featuring American, Asian and European antiques: a spectrum of period furnishings, decorative pieces and fine art from the late 17th century through the 20th century, including vintage jewelry, oriental rugs, ceramics, architectural items, garden furniture, porcelains and silver.

Of course, you’ll be able to wander the Lauritzen Gardens as well. They’re Omaha’s Botanical Center and cover about 100 acres.
