Hey, Road Trips Gardeners, grab the kids and make tracks to the Garden Railroad at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, One Schenley Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A family favorite, the exhibit includes five model trains chugging through miniature living landscapes in the South Conservatory. It opens October 16, 2010, and runs through March 13, 2011.

The N scale garden railroad will appear along with three G scale trains, winding through a meadow, farmland and a forest. — all designed by Bob Vukich.

The conservatory’s Fall Flower Show (subtitled Gothic Gardens in Autumn) opens the same day, but closes November 7, 2010.
