With spring just around the corner, it is time to start thinking about gardening outdoors, Road Trips Gardeners. Warm weather comes a bit earlier in the south, so the Northeast Alabama Home and Garden Show actually takes place on the last weekend of winter — March 19-20, 2011.

The show takes place in the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum, 1504 Main Street East, Rainsville, Alabama. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Both admission and parking are free.

One unusual attribute for this show: it’s run by a non-profit corporation founded to give businesses in Northeast Alabama an opportunity to demonstrate their company’s products. Some 75 vendors are expected.
