Daffodil Festival This Weekend

Road Trips Gardeners wandering Connecticut this weekend should add a stop in Meriden for the annual Daffodil Festival. It’ll be today and tomorrow (April 30 and May 1, 2011) in Hubbard Park, Meriden, Connecticut.

Now in its 33rd year, the town plants some 600,001 daffodils in 61 different varieties to create a sea of fragrant yellow blossoms throughout the 1,800-acre park. Hubbard Park in Meriden, Connecticut each year. Oh, yes: there will also be crafts, amusement rides, food, entertainment and a fireworks display.
