Francesca Syz, writing for The Telegraph, a news outlet in the United Kingdom, has come up with four hotels that are perfect for garden-lovers.

Here’s the quartet:

• Cowley Manor, Gloucestershire (pictured): “Set within 55 acres of parkland, woodland and meadows, Cowley Manor as it stands today was built in 1855 but certain parts of its Grade II listed garden are much older.”
• Gidleigh Park, Devon: You can tour the 107-acre garden with the head gardener, Andrew Brimblecombe, during your stay. (Note: your Road Trips Gardener visited here more than 20 years ago, and it’s only improved with age.)
• Austwick Hall, Yorkshire: There’s a mature woodland plus a 13-acre garden with “a sculpture trail, contemporary knot garden and a series of ‘garden rooms’”.
• Ston Easton Park, Somerset: “The estate features 36 acres of classic parkland with the River Norr running through it, and is now the only remaining garden in Somerset laid out by the great 18th-century landscape designer Humphry Repton.”
