Road Trips Gardeners old enough to remember the 1960s will know exactly what this showcase garden in the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory is all about.

Or maybe the vintage Volkswagen bus gave you a clue?

Yes, big, bold, bright, beautiful blooms are celebrated at “Flower Power: Summer of Love”. The 1960s were a decade of hope, fueled by a generation passionately dedicated to the belief that we had the ability to make the world a better place — and the symbol of the decade was the flower, which stood for peace.

“Flower Power” is open through November 13, 2011, in the conservatory, 1100 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
