Wandering the West Coast this spring, Road Trips Gardeners. If you’re a fan of boat orchids, consider a stop between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 21, 2012, at the annual Gold Coast Cymbidium Growers Show and Sale.

(For those of you who haven’t discovered the wonders of Orchidaceae yet, the other name for “boat orchids” is cymbidium, a genus of 52 evergreen species.)

It’ll be held at Woodside Road United Methodist Church, 2000 Woodside Road, Redwood City, California. Admission — and parking — are free.
