Flower of the Day: Butterfly!

OK, Road Trips Gardeners, I confess that I didn’t post this photo for the flower. (Truthfully, I don’t know the name of the flower.)

I posted it for the winged visitor (whose name I also don’t know). This gorgeous insect is one of the denizens of the Butterfly House on South Bass Island in Lake Erie (just off the coast of Ohio).

Butterfly houses are a great place to get ideas of what to plant if you want to attract butterflies to your garden.

(And if any of you can identify either the flutterer or the bloom, please let me know!)
