Fall Workshops at Hills & Dales

Two workshops are planned this month at Hills & Dales Estate, 1916 Hills and Dales Drive, LaGrange, Georgia (map).

First up is “Floral Still Life in Pastels”, set for 10 a.m. ’til noon September 22, 2012. Artist Chris Hagebak directs a workshop in which participants will draw flowers collected from the garden. Fee is $25.

The following weekend, “Incredible Edibles” will take place from 10 a.m. ’til noon September 29, 2012. Horticultural manager Jo Phillips will review cool-weather crops. Participants will take home an edible container garden filled with lettuce, nasturtiums, pansies and cabbage. Cost is $30.
