“Gardens Make the World Go ‘Round” is the theme for the 28th annual San Francisco Flower & Garden Show set for March 20 through 24, 2013, in the San Mateo County Event Center, 2495 South Delaware Street, San Mateo, California (map).
New this year is what’s billed as the world’s largest rotating succulent globe — a sphere with more than 30,000 succulent plants depicting the seas and continents designed and planted by Robin Stockwell of Succulent Gardens in Castroville, California.
Centerpiece, of course, are the 18 display gardens, a juried exhibition of living design created by garden designers, nurseries and horticulturalists,
An all-new Chef’s Stage spotlights a cutting-edge lineup of Bay Area Chefs focused on wine and food made with fresh and sustainable recipes.
Adult single-day tickets are available at the door for $20; children 16 and under are free.
