cherry-blossomsIs there a Macy’s in your town? The department store’s flower shows are in full swing.

The shows in New York City (Herald Square), Philadelphia (City Center), Chicago (Macy’s on State Street), Minneapolis (downtown) and San Francisco (Union Square) are open now through April 7, 2013.

The dates are the same for the Macy’s Metro Center store in Washington, D.C., but that show has a cherry blossom theme. This floral fantasy features 25 flowering Okame cherry trees (ranging between 12 and 18 feet tall), each anchored by an array of brightly colored azaleas. Also on view are topiary Snow Fountain cherry trees, Japanese maples and evergreens.
