canada_ontario_hbrsThere’s only this weekend left, Road Trips Gardeners. If you’re anywhere near southwestern Ontario, head on over to celebrate iris and peonies at Laking Garden in the Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington, Ontario, Canada (map).

The celebration (which started June 8) closes on Sunday (June 23, 2013). Check out the iris and peonies, of course, but also the perennial borders and the hosta walk.

But wait! There’s more at the gardens tomorrow and Sunday.

This weekend also is the Hamilton and Burlington Rose Society Show. It’s in the RBG Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 22 and 23, 2013.

This is the largest juried Rose Show in the area. Rose experts are on hand to answer your questions and suppliers have rose bushes for sale.

Specimens from the show are available for sale starting at 3:30 p.m. June 23.
