Global Kitchen Garden
If you like growing your own food, here’s an exhibit you’ll want to see, Road Trips Gardeners. (You’ll need to hop across the pond, because it’s at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Richmond, London, England — popularly known as Kew Gardens).
The Global Kitchen Garden, situated on the Great Lawn opposite Kew Palace, features over 90 edible plants from every corner of the globe. Two semi-circular inner beds are dedicated to herbs while five outer beds represent different regions of the world.
Grapes, pomegranate and olive trees have been planted in a circular design. It’s open through November 3, 2013.
The Global Kitchen Garden is part of “IncrEdibles: A Voyage through Surprisingly Edible Plants“, a multifaceted exhibition whose core dates end September 1, 2013.
