Lavender Faire
Six heritage farms in and around Sequim, Washington, are open to the public on the weekend of July 19 through 21, 2013. Washington Lavender Farm, Victor’s Lavender Farm & Nursery, Lost Mountain Lavender Farm, Olympic Lavender Farm, Jardin du Soleil Lavender and Purple Haze Lavender Farm all welcome visitors then (here’s a driving guide).
A full event pass is $15; no charge for children 12 and under. There is lots of free parking at all of the farms, which are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each of the three days. All are members of the Sequim Lavender Farmers Association.
The tour is part of the 17th Sequim Lavender Farm Faire, centered on the free Lavender Arts and Crafts Faire in the Park, Carrie Blake Park/Reuse Demonstration Park, 202 North Blake Avenue, Sequim, Washington (map).
There, Road Trips Gardeners, you’ll find 100 booths, lavender products, crafts, food, music, family programs, nonprofit organizations, agricultural and nature programs. It’s also the hub for the downtown parking lot shuttle bus that connects all of the lavender events in town.
