Flower of the Day: Bougainvillea

Yes, Road Trips Gardeners, here’s another photo of bougainvillea.
This magnificent display of shocking pink was captured on a wall in downtown Nairobi, Kenya, in late July by our intrepid photographer.
No doubt the combination of latitude (Nairobi’s just about on the equator) and altitude (it’s some 5800-feet-high) cause the shrub to be especially brilliant.
