This year is the 120th anniversary of the Lilac Festival in Highland Park, Rochester, New York. It takes place May 11 through 20, 2018, and showcases what’s said to be the largest lilac collection in the United States.

On the schedule are all kinds of special events, including music and comedy shows, art exhibits, a parade, and a race. Road Trips Gardeners will want to time their visits to include Garden Battles, a May 12 competition described as “Better Homes & Gardens meets Chopped”.
