Shirley Sherwood Collection, Kew Gardens, London, EnglandAn exhibition of botanical art at Kew Gardens, Richmond, London, England, celebrates the 30 years of the Shirley Sherwood Collection.

Modern Masterpieces of Botanical Art, open now through March 15, 2020, is split into geographical regions. Admission to the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art is included with admission to Kew Gardens.

Admire the exquisite details of endangered plants and newly discovered species. From delicate color palettes to theatrical arrangements, explore a variety of artworks that celebrate the diversity of botanical art. Hint: don’t miss the striking watercolor Strelitzia nicolai by Beverly Allen, or the dramatic Laelia tenebrosa by Pandora Sellars.

The book accompanying the exhibition, The Shirley Sherwood Collection: Modern Masterpieces of Botanical Art is available in the Kew Gardens shop. It features 265 botanical paintings by 144 artists from 36 countries.
