Urban gardeners wanting to make the most of their outside spaces can find what they need at the 2010 Royal Horticultural Society Plant and Design Show. Road Trips Gardeners headed here will find a street of “front gardens” designed to show how an often neglected space can be redesigned to suit a range of lifestyles, and balcony displays to provide clever ideas to brighten up even the smallest of urban spaces. Although those of us traveling across the pond can’t bring back any of the tempting array of spring flowering plants, we can take home garden accessories, books and tools. Visitors will also be able to ‘ask the experts’ and pick up top tips about garden design and plants from the RHS advisory team and garden designers. It all takes place in the RHS Horticultural Halls, Greycoat Street and Vincent Square, London, England. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 16 February and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 17 February. Admission is £5 on the first day, and £3 on the second.
