Those crazy Californians know how to attract a crowd. The 2013 Flower Show in Coronado will include a Beer Garden.

Yes, Road Trips Gardeners, this annual event, set for April 20 and 21, 2013, in Spreckels Park, Coronado, California (map), includes a place to sit and sip your choice of wine or beer.

Since the show covers an entire city block, the Beer Garden is a great place to take a break from the show, relax and listen to the entertainment from the bandstand.

Now in its 88th year, it claims to be the largest flower show held under tents in the nation. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. April 20 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21. Admission is $5.
