A pair of festivals take place October 2 and 3, 2010, in the Omaha Botanical Gardens: Autumn Ambience and Japanese Ambience. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Autumn Ambience is a celebration of the harvest and will demonstrate many ways to reap the rewards of the gardening season. The festival will include hands-on children’s activities, scarecrow making, live music, garden strolls and hayrack rides.

Japanese Ambience, sponsored by Omaha Sister Cities celebrates the relationship between Omaha and Shizuoka, Japan — a relationship first forged in 1965.

Lauritzen Gardens, the Omaha Botanical Gardens, are located at 100 Bancroft Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
