The Woodland Tulip Festival takes place for about a month, beginning April 2, 2011, at Holland America Bulb Farms, Inc., 1066 South Pekin Road, Woodland, Washington.

In addition to vast tulip fields, there’s a customized garden and show field displaying a variety of spring blooms. Hours are 10 a.m to 6 p.m. daily, although there are special activities during the weekends, including live entertainment, ethnic foods, artisan crafts and (shudder!) chainsaw demonstrations. Of course, Road Trips Gardeners, you can also place bulb orders and purchase fresh-cut tulips.
