Nature’s art is showcased during the 10th annual Secret Garden Tour in the historic river district of Wilmington, North Carolina.

This is your chance, Road Trips Gardeners to get behind the walls to see private gardens — many of which have never been open to the public.

It all takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. September 20 and 21, 2013. Tours begin at the Latimer House Museum (126 South Third Street – map) and are held rain or shine. Sponsor is the Historical Society of Lower Cape Fear.
