Trough Gardens
Hypertufa planters are a wonderful way to bring the look of stone into your garden without the weight.
Learn how to create one in a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon November 2, 2013, at Hills & Dales Estate, 1916 Hills and Dales Drive LaGrange, Georgia (map).
Gardening expert Helen Phillips will teach participants how to create a hypertufa stone garden planter, inspired by the stone troughs commonly seen in old English cottage gardens.
Each participant will make a small hypertufa planter and be provided a “recipe” and instructions he or she can use to make a larger garden planter at home. Fee is $30 per person.
