It’s Lilac Time again in Lombard, Illinois.

The annual lilac festival, which opened May 3, runs through May 18, 2014, in Lilacia Park, 150 South Park Avenue — part of the Lombard Park District. Lilacia is an 8.5-acre horticultural showcase featuring over 700 lilacs and 25,000 tulips.

Of note for Road Trips Gardeners who live in the Midwest, the annual lilac sale at the park is set for Friday and Saturday (May 9 and 10).
