indiana_richmond_secretIf you’ll be driving across I-70 in Indiana towards the end of next month, Road Trips Gardeners, consider scheduling a stop on June 21 and 22, 2014, for the Secret Gardens & Home Tour in Richmond.

It’s a chance to visit the “canvasses” of local landscape artists throughout town. An annual event, it’s sponsored by the Richmond Art Museum, 350 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond, Indiana. Tickets are available online in advance, or at the museum during the event.

At the Rose Garden at Glen Miller Park there’ll be a garden boutique featuring iron works, baskets, containers and a variety of garden accessories. The Richmond Group of plein air painters will be on the grounds painting (and many of their works will be available for purchase).

Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday — rain or shine. All proceeds benefit operations at the museum.
