georgia_roswell_butterfliesThe 15th annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival is set for June 7 and 8, 2014, in the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road Roswell, Georgia.

Releases of live butterflies are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, plus 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

In addition, visitors can encounter these “fluttering flowers” in a walk-through exhibit filled with hundreds of free-flying butterflies.

If you’d like to attract butterflies to your backyard garden, there’ll be a plant sale with the perfect flora to do just that. CNC horticulture volunteers will be on-hand at the plant sale and in the butterfly garden to answer your questions about how to attract butterflies and other pollinators to your yard.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12.
