Community Field Day in Iowa
Driving in eastern Iowa in mid-August, Road Trips Gardeners? Consider a detour to take part in the Community Field Day from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. August 16, 2014, sponsored by Seed Savers Exchange.
You’ll get a “behind the scenes” tour of Heritage Farm, 3094 North Winn Rd, Decorah, Iowa, plus a pancake breakfast, hikes and wagon rides, farm tours and even a peek into the seed vault.
There’s no charge, but you do need to register in advance, which you can do online.
