Princess Grace Rose Garden
Rose lovers headed to the Mediterranean might want to schedule a stop at the Princess Grace Rose Garden in the Fontvieille area of Monaco.
The garden reopened in June for its 30th anniversary after an eight-month renovation that enlarged the garden to approximately 54,000 square feet and included ecological, educational and landscaping changes.
Inaugurated in 1984, the garden has grown from 4,000 to 8,000 bushes, for a total of 300 varieties of roses, Princess Grace’s favorite flower. A new 164-foot water wall in the center of the rose garden creates a balcony for a view over all of the rose beds. (Don’t miss the bright pink Grace de Monaco rose).
The garden is open free of charge 24 hours a day.
