lavender2Heading Down Under later this month? Consider a stop at Open Garden Weekend at Warratina Lavender Farm, 105 Quayle Road, Seville, Victoria, Australia.

It takes place November 29 and 30, 2014.

This is a private garden, open to the public only on this one weekend. There will be garden walks around the homestead and along the driveway displaying a range of salvias, roses, rhododendrons, azaleas and more.

The first lavenders will be in full bloom, and lavender harvesting will be demonstrated using traditional methods. Also planned: demonstrations of old-time crafts, wood turning, spinning and lace-making; market stalls, food vendors, music, Devonshire teas, luncheons and children’s entertainment.
