Bromeliad Society of Greater Chicago Show & Sale
Both pineapples and Spanish moss are part of the bromeliad family. They’re among the plants on display and for sale at the annual event in the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, Illinois, that’s sponsored by the Bromeliad Society of Greater Chicago.
The show and sale is set for August 29 and 20, 2015; hours both days are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Bromeliads are said to be generally easy to grow, require little care, and reward the grower with brilliant, long-lasting blooms and ornamental foliage. Society members will be on hand; information on growing bromeliads will be provided and various plants will be on sale.
