Tomorrow’s the last day for an exhibit on The Kennedy Rose Garden: Traditionally American. Staged by the White House Historical Association at the White House Visitor Center, 748 Jackson Place NW, Washington, D.C., it explores President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 vision for a new garden adjacent to the Oval Office.

The Rose Garden was designed by Rachel Lambert Mellon. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy personally thanked her by creating a “memory book” chronicling the transformation of the garden. This private album was presented to Mrs. Mellon in 1966, and is shown to the public in its entirety for the first time in the exhibit.

The exhibit is free and open to the public today and tomorrow from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.
