The 2016 Fall Flower and Garden Fest takes place October 14 and 15, 2016, at the Truck Crops Experiment Station, 2014 Experiment Station Road, Crystal Springs, Mississippi. (Crystal Springs is about 25 miles south of Jackson.)

Hours are from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. both days.

Admission and parking are free for the event, said to be the largest home gardening show in the Southeast. Featured in the three acre garden are winners of the All-America Selections award.

Of course in addition to plants and other garden stuff, there also will be food: rib eye steak sandwiches, catfish, BBQ plates, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies, cakes and sweet potato sweets. Psst: the Chautauqua Garden Club will be selling homemade ice cream.
