Chicago’s Winter Flower & Train Show
Lanterns with golden-yellow lights and lighted evergreen trees welcome visitors to the Winter Flower and Train Show at Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 North Stockton Drive, Chicago, Illinois.
The holiday wonderland is open daily in the Show House from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through January 8, 2017. There’s no admission charge.
Several model trains chug past garden-scale homes and businesses, accentuated by festive plant arrangements.
The Lincoln Park Commission constructed the Lincoln Park Conservatory in phases between 1890 and 1895, replacing a small greenhouse that dated from the 1870s. Nationally renowned architect Joseph Lyman Silsbee designed the Conservatory in collaboration with architect M.E. Bell.
