Sakura - cherry blossomsA Cherry Blossom Festival is underway in Greater Philadelphia. It started last Saturday and runs through next Sunday (April 9, 2017). (Just in case you’ve forgotten, sakura = cherry blossoms.)

Road Trips Gardeners still have time to get to the biggest event on the schedule — Sakura Sunday. It takes place from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. in the Horticulture Center, Fairmount Park, 100 North Horticultural Drive, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The fest is a project of the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, and features Japanese music, art, food, and culture, including demonstrations of martial arts, ikebana flower arranging, and live musical and dance performances.
