“Tour de Fleur” Garden Walk in Southern Indiana
Fifteen gardens are included on the eighth biennial “Tour de Fleur” Garden Walk, set for June 24 and 25, 2017. Hours each day are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (note that the region is in the Central Time Zone). The gardens are in Evansville, Newburgh and Chandler, Indiana.
It’s sponsored by the Southwest Indiana Master Gardener Association whose volunteers maintain nearly 20 public gardens in Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey counties including the 1.2-acre Master Gardener Display Garden in Evansville. In addition to managing the exquisite floral gardens, approximately 10,000 pounds of vegetables are harvested at the Display Garden by the master gardeners and donated to the Tri-State Food Bank each year.
Tickets are available on the days of the walk at the Master Gardener Display Garden, 3501 East Lloyd Expressway, Evansville, Indiana.
