Two Bonsai Beginners’ Workshops

Juniper Bonsai TreeIf your travels take you through central Indiana, Road Trips Gardeners, and you’ve been itching to try your hand at bonsai, there are two workshops you might like.

Bonsai 101, set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 1 and repeating at the same time June 22, 2017, will be held in the Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.

This beginner’s workshop, led by bonsai artist Paul Weishaar, is designed to both instruct and inspire. Learn how to find the basic elements of a tree and recognize its potential, style a tree and repot into a traditional bonsai container. The fee of $95 includes all supplies; advance registration is required.
