Dogwood Festival Underway in Charlottesville

pink dogwoodThe 69th annual Dogwood Festival is well underway in the Charlottesville, Virginia, region. It honors the official flower and tree of Virginia.

The festival runs through May 5, 2018, and features a pageant, parade, concert, fireworks and a family-friendly carnival (not to mention the blooming trees all around town). There’s a full calendar of events online.

If you’d like your own dogwood tree, Road Trips Gardeners, swing by the Barracks Road Shopping Center, Charlottesville, to buy one between 4 and 7 p.m. March 29, 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 30, or (if there are any left), sometime March 31.
