Headed to Philly, Road Trips Gardeners? The Philadelphia Flower Show started last Saturday (March 3, 2018) and runs through Sunday (March 11, 2018), in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets at the door are $35 weekdays and $40 weekends.

First held in 1829, it’s sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

This year’s theme is “The Wonders of Water”. Windows on the Watershed, a 65’x50’ exhibition funded by The William Penn Foundation illuminates the ecological lessons and stories of The Delaware River Watershed and the endless cycle of water movement downstream and the filtration that happens across different, but connected, environments.

Martha Stewart and her “right-hand” Creative Director, Kevin Sharkey, will be giving a presentation on her newest book: Martha’s Flowers: A Practical Guide to Growing, Gathering, and Enjoying, at 5 p.m. tomorrow (March 6, 2018) in the Designer’s Studio with a book signing to follow at 6 p.m.

Gardening and greening experts from around the country, best selling authors and local horticultural gardening gurus share their passion and expertise with Flower Show visitors in the Designer’s Studio.

Guided early morning tours ($110) are led by expert docents and veteran Flower Show enthusiasts. Early Morning tours ($130) promise tips and techniques along with a private tour of the best areas of the Show to photograph.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Friday (March 9, 2018), 8 a.m. ti 9 a.m. Saturday (March 10, 2018), and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. — with the last entry at 5 p.m. — Sunday (March 11, 2018).
