Dangjiacun Village, Shaanxi Province, China: tulipsBright red tulips (and a rogue yellow bloom) lined a narrow street in Dangjacun Village, Shaanxi Province, China, last April.

Since the bulb flower originated in Turkey, it’s logical that its popularity spread east as well as west.
