Road Trips Gardeners will have to hurry across the Pacific Ocean to catch the annual chrysanthemum show in the Humble Administrator’s Garden, 178 Northeast Street, Gusu District, Suzhou, China.

The seasonal display opened September 1, and closes October 17, 2018.

In this chrysanthemum show, there are a wide variety of styles, including balls, lanterns and “fireworks”. There’s more about the Humble Administrator’s Garden online.

According to Wikipedia, the Classical Gardens of Suzhou are a group of gardens in Suzhou region, Jiangsu province, China, which have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Spanning a period of almost one thousand years, from the Northern Song to the late Qing dynasties (11th-19th century), these gardens, most of them built by scholars, standardized many of the key features of classical Chinese garden design with constructed landscapes mimicking natural scenery of rocks, hills and rivers with strategically located pavilions and pagodas.
