Azalea Festival in Roswell, Georgia
The Azalea Festival is making its way back to Roswell, Georgia, for the fifth year. Events are planned from April 1 through 30, 2019 Even though most of the events are throughout the month of April, you will want to mark your calendar for the Spring Native Plant Sale happening at Chattahoochee Nature Center at the end of March.
On the schedule are garden tours, the official opening of Bulloch Hall’s Azalea Garden (April 3), an exhibit of flower photography, a workshop on photographing wildflowers, opening of the Mimosa Gardens (April 22), and the Garden Faire (April 27).
Sponsored by North Fulton Master Gardeners in partnership with Bulloch Hall, the Garden Faire takes place at 180 Bulloch Avenue, Roswell, Georgia, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 — rain or shine. Road Trips Gardeners will find 40 plant and garden art vendors, a “Fleatique”, Bake Sale, and food vendors. Proceeds support gardening education classes for young children.
The Spring Native Plant Sale anticipates the festival with the first two sales dates of March 29 and 30, 2019. It repeats April 5 and 6, 2019 (hours all four days are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
It’s held at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road, Roswell, Georgia, and is sponsored by the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District.
More than 120 species of plants will be available, and horticulturists will be on site to answer questions. Follow the signs to the greenhouse and enjoy the Spring Native Plant Sale. Free Admission to the garden area.
