Dogwood-Azalea, Charleston, MissouriThe 51st annual Dogwood-Azalea Festival takes place April 11 through 14, 2019, in Charleston, Missouri.

A highlight is the six-mile trail — the dogwoods and azaleas along the route are expected to be at peak bloom.

The theme of this year’s edition is “Follow Your Roots”, a play on both nature and family heritage. Included during the festival are home tours, s candlelight tour, plant sale, arts and crafts bazaar, a parade (one of the area’s largest), an old-fashioned ice cream social, piano concerts (featuring a dozen pianists), and carriage rides.

It’s all sponsored by the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
