Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stockbridge, MassachusettsAn Afternoon of Garden-Inspired Floral Arranging is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. September 7, 2019, in the Berkshire Botanical Garden, 5 West Stockbridge Road, Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

Compose a seasonal arrangement while learning the design basics needed to create a dynamic floral centerpieces. This session, led by BBG gardener Katarina Goldenberg, is geared towards individuals who have an interest in learning floral design techniques with a focus on garden-sourced material and less traditional arrangements.

The afternoon begins touring BBG’s gardens to find inspiration from nature’s branches, blooms, and grasses. The second half of the afternoon will continue with a discussion about floral arranging techniques before finishing with creating custom arrangements from cuttings from the garden as well as locally sourced blooms.

All material fees included in the price of the class ($140). Bring a bag lunch and a set of pruners. Advance registration is highly recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome, space permitting.

Katarina Goldenberg is a floral designer and gardener based in the Berkshires. She has over ten years of experience in the flower industry, including growing cut flowers, retail and merchandising, and floral design for weddings and events. She works at Berkshire Botanical Garden as a seasonal gardener.
