National Heirloom Foods Expo

National Heirloom Expo, Santa Rosa, CaliforniaThe National Heirloom Expo is an annual gathering in Santa Rosa, California, of gardeners, food activists, farmers, chefs and food organizations from around the globe who come together to share best practices, showcase products, and provide tastings. The ninth annual edition is set for September 10, 11 and 12, 2019; hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

Held in the Sonoma County Event Center at the FairGrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, it features the largest display of heritage produce, the Expo now focuses on the preservation of heirloom foods without GMOs. Tickets are $15 for one day, or $30 for all three (purchased at the gate).

More than 100 nationally and internationally renowned speakers fill three presentation halls with panel discussions and seminars.The fairground and pavilion aisles are filled with pure food enthusiasts, home gardeners, farmers, garden artists, school groups, and leaders in the food industry. Note: the fifth annual Dahlia Show is held in conjunction with the expo.

The National Heirloom Expo is a not-for-profit event with net proceeds being donated to local schools and educational garden projects.
