Urasa Chrysanthemum Show, JapanThe Urasa Chrysanthemum Festival takes place October 31, 2019, through November 10, 209, on the grounds of the Bishamondo Temple, 2495, Urasa, Minamiuonuma-shi, Niigata, Japan. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The flowers on display here are grown in towns all around the region – Minami-Uonuma City, Uonuma-shi, Tokamachi-shi, Ojiya-shi, Yuzawa-machi, Tsunan-machi, and Nagaoka-shi. Among the many chrysanthemums on display, there are varieties which have been grown by local school students.

The chrysanthemum is Japan’s national flower.
