“The 12 Days of Christmas” in Dallas, Texas
Holiday at the Arboretum spotlights “The 12 Days of Christmas” with more than one million lights turned on each evening throughout the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas.
A dozen 25-foot-tall Victorian-style gazebos bring to life the different characters in the traditional carol, such as the Three French Hens, Twelve Drummers Drumming, and Seven Swans A Swimming.
This outdoor exhibit, open now through December 31, 2019, is anchored by a 30-foot-tall holiday tree at the center of the gardens. Special events during the run of show are visits by Santa, cooking classes, floral arranging sessions, a holiday tea, and holiday dinners.
The historic DeGolyer House is decorated in a European-style with greenery and fruit, along with a collection in each room of items one finds at Christmas markets such as angels, hand-carved wooden Santas, nativity scenes, and snow globes.
